1. Provide a fully dedicated shore-based manager for each vessel.
Supported by GEM's Head Office, the Shore Manager provides the vital link between the
vessel and the Client's operations department.
2. Liase with Customs and Immigration regarding provision of the
necessary documentation required to insure the clearance of materials and personnel.
3. Organise accommodation and transport for all personnel and crew as
required at the request of client.
4. Liase and co-ordinate services and supplies from local companies at
competitive prices.
5. Provide a complete accounting procedure for the expenditure of
the vessel. This can include handling all crew travel costs, cash advances, technical
expenditure, supply purchases and other disbursements. The costs will be analysed and
presented to the client to give a detailed account of the expenditure of each vessel.
6. Organise and book all flights and travel for crew at competitive
rates.
7. Supply contract staff as required.
8. Arrange support/chase vessels as required.
